COLUMBIA CITY - LuAnn Warner, 51, of 204 Whispering Lane, South Whitley, died of cancer at 9:30 a.m. April 15, 2007, in her residence.
She was born March 2, 1956, in Davenport, Iowa, to Ralph and Doris Bush Moffitt. On May 24, 1980, she married Thomas Warner, who survives.
After graduating from Mineral Point (Wis.) High School in 1974, she moved to South Whitley. She worked at Farmers Loan & Trust Bank, South Whitley, and then became the secretary for the athletic and guidance departments at Whitko High School, South Whitley. She was active in the Whitko and State Future Farmers of America and helped with 4-H. She was a member of Cleveland Township Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.
Also surviving are a son, Ryan Rhoades, College Station, Texas; two daughters, Stephanie Warner, South Whitley, and Stacie Warner, Coralville, Iowa; her mother, Doris Moffitt, South Whitley; a sister, Janet Peters, South Whitley; and two brothers, Sam Moffitt, Bringhurst, and Tom Mottiff, South Whitley. She was preceded in death by her father.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City, with Pastors Paul Burris and Bruce Wrightsman officiating. Burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery.
