Lowell 'Jake' Anglemyer

NAPPANEE - Lowell "Jake" Anglemyer, 75, of 4 Meadow Lane, Nappanee, died at 3:56 p.m. July 13, 2009, in Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born Sept. 27, 1933, in Harrison Township, to Winfred and Florence Pletcher Anglemyer. On March 24, 1957, in Nappanee, he married Ruth Sheets Pletcher, who survives.

A lifetime area resident, he was a Wakarusa High School graduate. He worked at J.C. Penney for more than 30 years and was a former dairy farmer in Elkhart County. He attended Nappanee Missionary Church and was a former member of the Elkhart County Holstein Association.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mary (and spouse Brooks) Koble, Nappanee; two sons, David Anglemyer, Nappanee, and Dean (and spouse Colleen) Anglemyer, Wakarusa; nine grandchildren; a great-grandson; a sister, Mary Nash, Elkhart; and two half sisters, Donna Stapp and Betty Jefferies, both of Oklahoma.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Nappanee Missionary Church with Pastor Marvin Engbrecht officiating, assisted by Pastor Justin Lamason. Burial will be in Olive West Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church chapel.

Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, is in charge of arrangements.
