SYRACUSE - Lowell Gilmore, 68, Warsaw, passed away Nov. 22, 2010, at Simon Cancer Center.

He was born Jan. 14, 1942, in Richmond, to Clarence and Helen Downing Gilmore. On Sept. 26, 1969, he married Kathy Cook, who survives in Warsaw.

He was a builder for Heckaman Homes and was the owner of Northern Indiana Housing. He was a U.S. Marine veteran, serving in Vietnam.

He was a member of the North Webster American Legion.

Also surviving are two daughters, Jennifer (and spouse Nathan) Rhoades, Avon, and Kristi (and spouse Joel) Rhoades, North Webster; four grandchildren; a brother, Jim Gilmore, Richmond; and two sisters, Marilyn Weller, Eaton, Ohio, and Doris Dallas, San Antonio, Texas.

A celebration of life will be held at the Barbee Hotel from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday.

Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, is in care of arrangements.
