Love Your Neighbor

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:

God is love. Love does no harm to his neighbor. Love is gentle, kind, longsuffering, not selfish, boastful, proud or arrogant. Does a loving person judge others? Absolutely! To not judge righteously or correctly is actually harmful and unloving. The type of judgment that the Bible condemns is unrighteous judgment from those who are either living in sin or promoting it to then turn around and judge someone who is also living in sin - first get the log out of your own eye then you will be able to see the speck in your brother's eye.

Actions do speak louder than words. Is homosexuality a loving action? Any person who loves the truth and has not exchanged the truth for a lie will conclude that it's most certainly not an action that is loving. Homosexuality is extremely dangerous, destructive not only to society, but especially to those held captive by its deceptive grasp, those who have willing exchanged the truth of God for a lie. Christ demonstrated his love for us by dying on the cross and rising from the dead to set us free from sin. Not free to sin.

Sin leads to death, not just physical death, but the second death which is spiritual death. To end up in the Lake of Fire with the devil and his angels will not be the result of a life of love but a life that is occupied with death. Love is moral because God is moral and God is holy. To proclaim that immorality should be tolerated and excepted is very unloving, boastful, proud and arrogant. Let me ask you, how much do you love your neighbor?
