Louise MellottBOURBON – Louise Mellott, age 71, of Warsaw, passed away on June 29, 2022, at 3:25 p.m. in her home.
Louise was born to Evelyn and Charles Ray Greer Sr. on May 12, 1951, in Cook County, Ill. She was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Mentone High School. She married James H. Mellott on Feb. 5, 1969, and he preceded her in death on March 19, 2005. She was a homemaker and had previously worked as an inspector at Biomet Orthopedic. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and was a member of the Warsaw Moose Lodge.
Louise is survived by her daughters: Trisha Mellott, of Etna Green; Katrina (Kelly) Kerlin, of Silver Lake; her son, Jeff (Donna) Mellott, of Warsaw; her grandchildren: Callie (Allison) Prater, Sariesta Kinsey (Joshua Wielochowski), Jeremiah Kinsey, Trevor (Amber) Mellott, Lauren Kerlin, Connor Kerlin, Lily Kerlin; her great-grandchildren: Nicky Prater, Vinny Prater, Braelyn Prater, Jadyn Prater, Jocelyn Prater, Maddex Wielochowski, Mavrik Wielochowski and Jovie Wielochowski.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Charles Greer Sr.; her husband, James; her sister, Pat Wallen; and her foster parents, Hap and Mary Utter.
Visitation service will be held on Wednesday, July 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon.
Graveside service will be held on July 6 at 1:30 p.m. in Etna Green Cemetery, 10305 W. CR 300N (High Street), Etna Green, with on-staff Pastor Kristin Harp presiding.
Memorial donations may be made to Warsaw Moose Lodge, 1815 W. Lake St., Warsaw, IN 46580.
