WINCHESTER - Louise G. Armstrong, 83, Muncie, formerly of Randolph County, passed away May 10, 2009, at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie.
She was born June 5, 1925, in Brown County, to the late George S. and Nola Mendenhall Clements. On July 27, 1945, she married her loving husband, Fred L. Armstrong, who survives, and they spent 63 years together.
She was a 1943 graduate of Lincoln High School. She was a homemaker and also worked at the Randolph County Health Department, Winchester. She was a great wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family. Her greatest joy was living on beautiful Lake Tippecanoe.
Also surviving are a daughter, Linda D. Pegg, North Webster; a son, F. Scott (and spouse Julie) Armstrong, Peoria, Ariz.; three brothers: Edwin Clements, Tampa, Fla.; H. Richard Clements, Winchester; and Charles L. (and spouse Dorothy) Clements, Muncie; a grandson, J. Martin (and spouse Erin) Armstrong, Tempe, Ariz.; and a granddaughter, Amy (and spouse Ben) Broom, Fisher; four great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold B., Eugene, George and James Clements and a sister, Martha Clements.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Walker Funeral Home, Winchester, with Dr. Kenneth Rickett officiating. Burial will be at Fountain Park Cemetery, Winchester.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
