AKRON - Lori Ann Greer, 46, of 1275 S. CR 700W, Silver Lake, died at 9:36 p.m. Aug. 21, 2009, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, following complications from an Aug. 4 surgery.
She was born May 9, 1963, in Lansing, Mich., to Lynn Vern and Patricia Ann Schofield Lawrence. On Nov. 12, 1983, in Lansing, she married Robert D. Greer, who survives in Silver Lake.
She was a Tippecanoe Valley High School lunch lady and a homemaker. She graduated from Everett High School, Lansing, in 1981. She received an associate's degree from Great Lakes Bible College, Lansing, in 1983. She was a member of Rochester Church of Christ where she served as a pre-school board member as well as a Sunday school teacher. She volunteered for many activities involving 4-H and was a member of the goat committee. She had been part of the Fulton County Extension Choral Club.
Surviving are her mother, Patricia Lawrence, Lansing; a daughter, Nikkole Lynn Greer, Silver Lake; a son, Matthew Robert Greer, Silver Lake; and a brother, Mark Lynn (and spouse Sandy) Lawrence, Tuscaloosa, Ala. She was preceded in death by her father.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Rochester Church of Christ, Rochester, with the Rev. Jim Dillinger officiating. Burial will be in Kewanna IOOF Cemetery.
Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
