MILFORD — Loretta L. McAllister, 68, Milford, passed away at home on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017.
She was born Dec. 29, 1948, in Goshen, the daughter of Robert E. and Hilda Elizabeth Laughlin. On Oct. 18, 1969, she married Cyrus Ray McAllister.
Surviving are her beloved daughter, Christine (Michael) Carney, Warsaw; two grandchildren, Michael McAllister and Danielle Carney, both of Warsaw; and sisters, Diana (John) Bradley, Syracuse, and Jackie (Jeff) Bradley, Milford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyrus Ray; mother, Hilda Laughlin; and sister, Bobbie Laughlin.
Loretta graduated from high school in Syracuse and went on to honorably serve her country in the Women’s Army Corps. She later entered the medical field as a home care aide.
Loretta was an avid reader, and enjoyed crocheting and watching Notre Dame basketball and football and the Green Bay Packers. She liked bowling with her daughter, and going on fishing trips with her father.
A memorial service with military honors will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 461 W. 900 N., Milford.
Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
