Loren W. Plotner, 80, of Warsaw, died at 12:15 p.m. June 21, 2010, in St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born May 22, 1930, in Warsaw, to Wesley C. and Edna M. Neer Plotner. On May 29, 1965, he married Anna L. Buckley, who survives.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged Oct. 20, 1950. A lifetime Warsaw resident, he was a truck driver for Schneider Transport.
Also surviving are a son, James (and spouse Judy) Fleming, Warsaw; three daughters: Shelby (and spouse Jerry) Aylor, Warsaw; Diana Fleming, Silver Lake; and Geraldine Hall, Prestonsburg, Ky.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and two sisters, Marjorie Love and Barbara Hedington. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Robert Plotner, who died Sept. 25, 1998; Richard Plotner, who died Feb. 15, 2009; and Earl Plotner, who died Nov. 11, 2004; and a granddaughter, Julia Ann Campbell, who died Aug. 6, 1982.
A private service was June 25 at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Gary Boschain of First Christian Church, Warsaw. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Private calling was from 9 to 10:30 a.m. June 24 at the funeral home.
