CHURUBUSCO - Loren J. "Jake" Brumbaugh, 72, of rural Albion, died at 3:23 p.m. Oct. 27, 2008, in his residence.
He was born April 7, 1936, in Green Township, to R. Gerald and Beth E. Cooley Brumbaugh. On Aug. 23, 1957, in Tacoma, Wash., he married Janet Roe, who survives.
Also surviving are five sons, including Marty (and spouse Pam) Brumbaugh, Milford; his mother; a brother; a sister; and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and a granddaughter.
Services will be at 11 a. m. Friday at Sugar Grove Church of God, Churubusco, with pastors Dennis Beckner and Tim Grable officiating. Burial will be in Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam, with military graveside rites.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
