NORTH MANCHESTER – Lora Maxine Harvey, 87, of North Manchester, and formerly of Laketon, died at 10:15 p.m. Sept. 8, 2011, in Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. She was born April 24, 1924, in Wabash County, to Harry G. and Edna Florine Macon Betten. On Dec. 11, 1947, she married Earl W. Harvey, who died Aug. 19, 1996. She retired from Peabody Retirement Community in 1992 after 42 years. She was a member of Liberty Mills United Methodist Church. Surviving are six daughters: Carolyn M. Hoffman, Linda L. (and spouse Thomas) Hippensteel, Donna Kay Lampert and Dianna L. (and spouse Brian) Baker, all of North Manchester; Luella Jean (and spouse Larry) Hall, Roann; Debra Ann (and spouse Royston) Ho, Queens, N.Y.; a brother, Harry D. (and spouse Norma) Betten, Bippus; a sister, Phyllis France, Wabash; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a half sister. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor Ed French officiating. Burial will be in Laketon Cemetery.
