Loose Wiring Causes Fire In Mobile Home

Posted

Loose wiring in an outlet was the cause of a fire Monday afternoon at Suburban Acres in Warsaw.

The mobile home at Lot 21 was owned by James Beer II. An official from the Warsaw Fire Department estimated the fire and smoke damage to the home at $15,000.

A firefighter said the fire was not large and was contained to Beer's mobile home. The Warsaw Fire Department was at the scene for about 30 minutes.

Beer apparently noticed the fire and called the fire department at 3:39 p.m. No injuries were reported.

The fire was ruled accidental. A firefighter said a wire apparently got loose on an electrical outlet and, over a period of time, caused the fire. He warned people to make sure all the connections on their outlets are tight.
