Lon Clay Slone, 64, of 106 Ra-Mar Drive, Warsaw, died at 8:05 p.m. Sept. 1, 2007, in Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Jan. 26, 1943, in David, Ky., to George and Nora Arnett Slone. He married Willa Mae Robinson, who survives.
A 45-year Warsaw resident, he worked at Jomac Inc. for 41 years and currently worked at Serenade Foods, Milford. He was a quiet, gentle man.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Thad (Vickie) McClone, Churubusco, and Mrs. William (Shelly) Slone, Warsaw; five grandchildren; his mother, Nora Arnett Slone, Prestonsburg, Ky.; a sister, Mrs. Charles (Patricia) Music, Prestonsburg; two brothers, Larry (and wife Ruby) Slone and Virgil (and wife Janet) Slone, both of Prestonsburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, George Slone Jr.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Henry Arnett Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
