Posted

Lois Clayton Rowe, 91, passed away peacefully on Sept. 21, 2026, and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior.
Born on July 24, 1935, Lois was the daughter of the late Samuel and Edna Hill Clayton. She lived a life rooted in faith, love and devotion to her family. Her quiet strength, kind heart and unwavering trust in God were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Rowe; her dear daughter, Kimberly Rowe; her parents, Samuel and Edna Clayton; her brothers, Everett Clayton and Charles Clayton; and her great-grandson, Christopher Prater.
She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her daughters, Lynda (Donald) Prater and Nancy (Jim) McGuire; her son, Jon (Cathy) Rowe; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in watching the generations grow and flourish.
Lois will be remembered for her caring spirit, her dedication to her family and the faith that guided her throughout her life. While her family grieves her passing, they rejoice in the promise that she is at peace in God's eternal care and reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.
In accordance with Lois's wishes, a private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to thank the caregivers and staff of Kingston Memory Care in Fort Wayne and Stillwater Hospice for the compassionate care, kindness and support they provided to Lois. May God bless them for the love and dignity they showed her, bringing comfort to both Lois and her family during her journey home to the Lord.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lois's memory to Stillwater Hospice, 5910 Homestead Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46814, whose dedicated caregivers provided comfort and compassionate care during her final days.
