MENTONE – Lois M. Miller, 86, Mentone, died at 7:50 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw.

She was born April 30, 1932, in Marshall County, to Leonard and Treva Harsh Boganwright. She married James D. Miller on July 1, 1950, in Bourbon. He preceded her on Feb. 21, 2000.

Lois, with her husband, had owned and operated Miller’s Hardware and Miller’s Mobile Home Park of Mentone, as well as being a homemaker.

She was a graduate of Mentone High School in 1950.

Lois was a member of Burket United Methodist Church and the Jolly Janes. She served as director of the Bell Aircraft Museum, a board member of the Bell Memorial Library, a former den mother, coached girls for the Mentone Youth League, and was a former EMS secretary. She established the name of the 4-Way Ambulance Service in Mentone.

She enjoyed volunteering for the American Red Cross and the Mentone Nutrition Site. She was honored as the Mentone Egg Festival parade marshal. She enjoyed watching her great-grandchildren play baseball and softball.

 Survivors include her sons, Darrel (wife Pam) Miller, Mentone, and Douglas (wife Lori) Miller, Mentone; grandchildren: Kevin (wife Tara) Miller, Brad (wife Sarah) Miller and Justin (wife Tara) Miller; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Treva Boganwright; husband, Jim Miller; sister, Iris Davis; and brothers, Donald and Richard Boganwright.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, in King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone. Pastor Gary Loy and Pastor Butch Troke will officiate, and burial will be in Mentone Cemetery.

Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at King Memorial Home.
