WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio — Lois Jean Cummings, 69, Leesburg, formerly of Miamisburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, in Henderson, Ky.
She was born April 13, 1949, in Thornhill, Tenn., the daughter of the late Kyle and Pauline M. McAnally Brogan.
Lois was a former employee of the Rathskeller Lounge, with over 20 years of service; a member of the Teamsters Local Union 957; and Lois was a race car driver in Powder Puff Drag Racing, winning first place several times.
She is survived by her three loving children: Ardonna Angel, Larry “J.R.” Essig Jr. and John Slone (and wife Mandy); five grandchildren: Blake Angel, Logan Essig, Dylan Essig, Marley Slone and Jack Slone; five great-grandchildren: Caleb Angel, Gabby Essig, Mia Angel, Emma Angel and Jayla Angel; her lifetime best friend, Betty Gillum; three sisters: Judy Antrican, Joyce Coots and Brenda Gore (and husband Sammy); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
