MENTONE - Three people were injured, with one in fair condition at Parkview Hospital, in a two-car collision on Ind. 19 Monday afternoon.
At 3:03 p.m., the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to an accident at Ind. 19 near CR 500S.
According to police reports, a northbound white Pontiac, driven by William W. Miller, 25, Logansport, and a southbound white Ford van, driven by William Grimmer, 55, Dyer, collided head-on.
Police said evidence at the scene indicates Miller traveled left of center, causing the collision.
Miller was airlifted by Samaritan Helicopter to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, with extensive injuries to his arms and legs. Miller's condition was upgraded from serious to fair condition this morning.
Grimmer and a passenger in Grimmer's van, Linda Foster, 55, were both treated for minor injuries at Kosciusko Community Hospital and released.
KCSD was assisted at the scene by Mentone Police Department, Mentone EMS, Mentone Fire Department and Multi-Township EMS.
