MARION — The Warsaw girls track and field team set three school records while finishing 24th at Saturday's Brooks Hoosier State Relays at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion. Competing in the Large School Division, Warsaw's Samantha Alexander finished seventh in the long jump with a leap of 17-8.5, setting a new record, while the team's other records were set in the 4x200 relay, where Alexander, Mariah Harter, Audrey Rich and Ann Harvuot were ninth in 1:47.79 and the 4x800 relay of Hannah Dawson, Brooke Rhodes, Anna Craig and Allison Miller were seventh in 9:52.75. The Warsaw boys finished 32nd at the meet, highlighted by Seth Fouts' fourth-place finish in the shot put (56-1.25) and the 4x400 relay finishing ninth (3:32.87) The Wawasee boys finished 30th at the meet, with J.J. Gilmer posting a fourth-place finish in the high jump (6-4) and Clayton Cook placing seventh in the 60-meter hurdles (8.63).
