More than 2,600 athletes participated in the Special Olympics Indiana Summer Games in Terre Haute this past weekend. Track and field, volleyball, bocce and cycling were just some of the events that took place on the campuses of Indiana State University and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Becky Walls, Director for Special Olympics Indiana Kosciusko County, stated that 28 athletes and nine coaches participated in the games. The athletes had a great time competing in a number of different events. Special Olympics Indiana Kosciusko County would also like to thank Martin’s Supermarket, Ramada Hotel and Hampton Inn for their donations.
