Warsaw Police Department has received numerous reports of counterfeit $100 bills being used at businesses.
The bills will say “Suvenir of America” on the left side of the bill or “For Motion Picture Use Only” on the right side of the bill.
WPD Det. Ryan Coble said these bills have been used at “quite a few” businesses around Warsaw.
Coble said the bills can be purchased online as they are used for souvenirs or as props in movies.
Police have a suspect, but no arrests have been made as of press time this morning.
If a person does see counterfeit currency, police say people should contact their local law enforcement at 574-267-5667.
