Local Players In All-Star Game

MISHAWAKA — McDonald's of Northern Indiana, in partnership with Bethel College, have announced the boys and girls all-star teams that will compete in the 2013 McDonald's Michiana High School All Star Games Monday in the Wiekamp Athletic Center on the campus of Bethel College.
Included on the boys team are Triton senior Clay Yeo and Warsaw senior Jared Bloom, while Warsaw seniors Lindsay Baker and Jennifer Walker-Crawford, as well as Wawasee senior KiLee Knafel will be in the girls game.
The girls game begins at 5 p.m., followed by the boys at approximately 7:15 p.m.
Joining Yeo and Bloom on the McDonald’s Red Team will be Frank House (Concord), Austin Torres (Penn), Josh Flemming (LaPorte), Brock Cosey (Riley), Ethan Pike (Bremen), Michael Bush (S.B. Adams), Nick Davidson (Andrean) and Leo Svete (Penn).
Mishawaka Marian’s Demetrius Jackson will take part in the festivities, but will not play due to IHSAA regulations.
Going against the Red Team, will be the Gray Team, comprised of Markese McGuire (Elkhart Memorial), Mack Mercer (Plymouth), Nate Ritchie (Northridge), Chris Mitchell (Mishawaka), Jon Wilkinson (NorthWood), Zach Zurcher (NorthWood), Devan Cannady (Mishawaka Marian), Taron Miller (Clay), Richard Mitchell (M.C. Marquette) and Ryan Wassink (Unity Christian, Mich.).
In the girls game, Baker, Knafel and Walker-Crawford will all play for the Gray Team, joined by Toni Murphy (Michigan City), Keshyana Cooper (Michigan City), Kerria Columbus (Riley), Amber Redinger (Plymouth), Christine Valentine (St. Joe, Mich.), Erica Priebe (St. Joe, Mich.) and Lauren Brower (St. Joe, Mich.).
The Gray Team will take on the Red Team of Aimee Swihart (Goshen), Monica Jones (Elkhart Memorial), Tia Garnett (Elkhart Central), Olivia Carlton (Penn), Taylor Lutz (Penn), Molly Hoover (Trinity), Michelle Adeniyi (Clay), Katie Barnard (Mishawaka Marian), Savannah Bley (NorthWood) and Cam Tyler (Lakeshore).
Tickets for both the girls and boys games will be available at the door. Adults are $5 and students are $2.
