Beaman Home Partners With Goodwill Career Center

Starting March 12, The Beaman Home Outreach Program will partner with the Warsaw Goodwill Career Center and have office hours at that location every Tuesday from 1 to 4 p.m.

The partnership will help Beaman Home Outreach case managers reach more survivors of trauma, domestic abuse and sexual assault and provide services to them including counseling, support groups, life skills, job skills and case management.  All services are free of charge.

Thanks to the Goodwill Career Center partnership, along with the community, the Beaman Home is able to provide not only emergency shelter, but also outreach services necessary for those who have been abused in the past to continue their lives free of violence.

Beaman Home is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that has provided services to Kosciusko, Fulton and Marshall counties’ victims of domestic violence and their children since 1985.

‘Gathering Of Hope’ April 25

WINONA LAKE – Heartline Pregnancy Center’s annual Gathering of Hope Banquet will take place April 25 at Winona Heritage Room in Winona Lake.

The event drew a record 250 guests last year, and that number is expected to increase this year.

The guest speaker, Melissa Coles, is the birth mother featured in the short documentary “I Lived on Parker Avenue.” Coles will share her story of nearly aborting her son — only to choose adoption at the last minute and eventually be reunited with him 19 years later.

“We’re thrilled to have Melissa come and speak at our Gathering of Hope this year,” says Alyx Bates, director of operations at Heartline. “We believe her story will have a powerful impact on our guests, showing them why services and resources like the ones we offer at Heartline are so valuable.”

For more information on sponsoring or attending this year’s Gathering of Hope contact Heartline Pregnancy Center at 574-267-5110 or visit heartlinepregnancy center.org.
