Groups of people from different faiths are coming together in a few weeks to make a difference.
Make A Difference Day, set for Oct. 24, is an event created by USA Weekend Magazine.
It's an event that encourages people to go out and make a difference in their communities. The Greater Warsaw Ministerial Association meets every month in hopes of bringing different faiths together to volunteer.
A group of clergy and non-clergy members of different churches was born out of the association.
The group came together for the Feed The Children program in February and have since worked together to help volunteer at the First United Methodist Church's community kitchen every Wednesday.
"We're trying to get churches to come together to be one body and serve God," said Eric Lane, director of facility operations for Warsaw Community Church. "We are sharing resources."
The group met Wednesday at Courthouse Coffee East to discuss service projects for Make A Difference Day.
One of the projects will be to do repairs to the Red Cross building in Warsaw.
They wlll also be building a handicap ramp in Syracuse.
The group has several proposed projects but how many are completed will depend on how many volunteers come forward.
