The Lincoln Highway Celebration in Warsaw is Aug. 12.
The Lincoln Buy-Way event crosses Ohio and Indiana with garage sales, celebrations and other activities along the original and 1928 route of the highway Thursday to Aug. 12.
The Lincoln Highway was the vision of Carl Fisher, who also founded the Indianapolis 500.
The first "Coast to Coast" road began development in 1913 when the Lincoln Highway Association was formed.
Warsaw became a part of the route when it was moved to have a more direct route through Indiana in the mid-1920s.

Garage sales are scheduled along the route, near the courthouse and in the Munson building.
Registration for a big wheel race begins on the courthouse lawn at 1 p.m., with the event at 2 p.m.
National City Bank will hold a watermelon fest at 4 p.m. in the plaza south of the courthouse.
A Shrine Parade begins at 5 p.m. The route is on Center Street from the city highway department to High Street, left to Main Street, left on Lake Street, back to Center Street and returns to the street department.
