Editor, Times-Union: Dear editor and fellow citizens of Warsaw/Kosciusko County, the recent local headlines and stories regarding our county and city law enforcement agencies and officers have been quite disturbing and the cause for much vitriolic social media comments. All of the officers and others named and unnamed in these stories are members of our community. They are our relatives, neighbors, friends and acquaintances – they are part of us. The legal ramifications will play out through the courts. But as a community, I’m asking each of us to not let that be the only solution. I am asking anyone who is able and willing to join me on the southwest corner of the courthouse lawn at the flag pole in the veterans memorial, for an hour of prayer this Thursday, March 17, from noon to 1 p.m. Let’s petition the Supreme Judge of heaven and earth to pour out His favor and healing for our LEOs, their agencies and everyone involved in our community. Let’s petition Him to bring a revival through these difficult days ahead that will unify the WPD, the KCSD and our community like never before. Nothing is impossible with God!
