The Troupe, a non-profit performing company affiliated with the studio, was formed in 1986 to provide students with additional opportunities to use their training by performing for various events, organizations and participating in competitions.
Fagan, a member of Same Planet Different World dance theater and the tap duo Sibling Rivalry, teaches master classes for organizations such as the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters. She is a recipient of the Regional Presidential Scholar in the Arts from the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts and also performs with Rhythm Iss, an all female tap ensemble.Members of the petite and junior troupes had the opportunity to work with Fagan in lyrical and jazz workshops focusing on both technique and choreography. She also set a contemporary piece titled "Just To Be Me" on members of the senior troupe. The troupe will be competing with the piece in Indianapolis next month and will debut the piece locally at their annual concert May 1 at the Lakeview Middle School Auditorium.
