Senior Flu Shots Offered Monday
Meijer Pharmacy will be administering flu shots from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Monday at Kosciusko Community Senior Services, 800 Park Ave., Warsaw.
The shots are for the 2013-2014 flu season. No prescription is needed. The vaccination is covered in full by Medicare and Medicaid (free for covered seniors.) The self-pay price is $24.99. If private insurance is to be billed, call Meijer Pharmacy for a price quote prior to the clinic at 574-371-4110.
Wear short sleeves, and bring any insurance cards with you including Medicare Part B - the red, white and blue card, Medicare Part D, Medicaid and/or private insurance. If self-pay, bring cash or check.

Silver Lake Lions Club Dinner
The Silver Lake Lions Club is sponsoring a carry-out “Fish, Chicken and Tenderloin Dinner” Saturday at the Silver Lake Conservation Building from 4 p.m. until sold out.
The cost is $8 per pound, and there will be side dishes available. There will also be a bake sale sponsored by “Treasures for Troops.”

Indiana Department Of Education Released ISTEP Scores Monday
A press release issued Monday from Warsaw Community Schools stated, “Based on data released today from the Indiana Department of Education, the Warsaw Community Schools reports growth in both math and language arts at almost all grade levels. Significant growth was shown in math at grades 3 and 4. Despite the testing issues that occurred at the state level, WCS is pleased with the preliminary results.”
Superintendent Dr. Craig Hintz stated in the release, “The increases reflect the hard work and dedication of students, staff and parents in the school corporation and I attribute our commitment to Professional Learning Communities as the key factor for ongoing school improvement.”
