Potawatomi Wildlife Park Bird Count TIPPECANOE – Join Potawatomi Wildlife Park for its annual May Bird Count May 11. Participants should meet at the Nature Center at 8 a.m. Experienced, novice and beginner birders are all welcome. The objective is to count the number of birds of each species and add to the species list for Potawatomi Wildlife Park. The results will be compiled and also forwarded to the Audubon Society where it will be added to other May counts, providing a scientific record of the bird populations occurring each year in Indiana. It is in Marshall County, just over the Kosciusko County border. Coming from the north, the park entrance is located approximately 1/2 mile south of Ind. 10 directly across from 17th Road.
Triton Awards Programs Set BOURBON – The Triton High School academic awards program has been set for May 17. High school academic awards will be in the auditorium at 8:10 a.m. Recognitions, some scholarships and honor roll will be presented. The top academic awards will be given at an evening awards banquet at Christo’s Banquet hall May 17 at 6:30 p.m. Attendance is by invitation only. RSVP by Thursday. Community scholarship awards will be announced at the high school commencement program June 2. Junior high awards will be presented May 29 at 1:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
