All of the proceeds that day will aid the community center for the library's expansion. The children's center will be located in the new area.

On June 6, the day will begin at 8:15 a.m. with the 5K/1Mile walk/run. Entry forms can be picked up at the library or at the following Web sites: www.runindiana.com or www.nweb.lib.in.us

The first 100 to enter will receive a free t-shirt. Pre-registration is $12 or $15 the day of the race. Awards will be given for different age groups as well as for men and women.

There will be a bake sale and plant sale that day.

There will be a free-throw contest and corn hole contest for which prizes will be awarded in age groups as well as for men and women. The children will have a chance to participate in the cookie walk, lollipop tree and duck pond. All will win in these contests.

Starting at noon June 6, Short Term Memories Band will provide free entertainment. The community center will sell concessions that day as well. Regular Saturday hours apply that day, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Children can sign up for the summer reading program. Registration begins Monday.
