Valentine's Gala

The Boys and Girls Club of Kosciusko County will host a Valentine Gala Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the club at 800 N. Park Avenue, Warsaw.

The evening will begin with an illuminated red carpet entrance. Former Ball State football player Caleb Churchill, now a teaching chef at Ivy Tech, has found a career in the kitchen.

Now Churchill believes it's time to "give back to the club." As a 13-year member of the Boys and Girls Club, Churchill designed a menu and will cook it.

Club board members and current club members will serve the meal and entertain guests.

The club has supporting business, which are donating china, tables, and the truck to haul them to the club.

The night will include a silent auction with more items donated from local businesses.

Brandt Cox, who recently returned from Iraq, volunteered to train the club servers.

Tickets for the gala are available at the club office, Wildman Uniform, Reneker's and T Styling Studio on Winona Avenue.

For more information, contact Cindi Knepper at 574-268-1155 or Paula Popenfoose at 574-269-1225.
