BURKET - The Palestine Lake Property Owners Association will meet at the Burket Fire Department Training Center at 3 p.m. Saturday.
A representative from J.F. New Co. will be on hand to discuss weed treatment and a Department of Natural Resources grant.
Election of officers also will be conducted.
SLCA Sets Final '08 Meeting
The last meeting of the Silver Lake Conservation Association for 2008 will be Oct. 18 at 9:30 a.m.
All members and other interested parties are urged to attend.
David Nance, from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources is scheduled to speak about the current conditions of the lake's dam. Possible ideas may be presented as to the best way to make future repairs and improvements.
Also, discussion will be held concerning having custom license plates made and sold as a fundraising effort toward future lake-dredging projects. The membership will be allowed to choose the background from photos submitted taken of Silver Lake. Anyone having a photo they would like to submit for consideration is asked to bring it to the meeting.
