Local Art Studio Helps Students In CreativityLEESBURG – Leesburg Elementary kindergarten students were able to explore their creativity recently with the help of a local art studio.
Spoonful of Imagination, Warsaw, visited Leesburg kindergarten classrooms to help expand student learning through art.
Supporting the students’ lessons on pumpkins, the art studio created, prepped and held a workshop in the classroom that allowed students to make pumpkin art.
“We believe art is a safe place for kids to explore, experiment, build self-confidence, learn to be positive decision makers, make mistakes and grow through the process of creating. We know our schools need more art and teachers have a ton on their plates, so we love being used to go in and create a fun art workshop for them,” said owner Erica Deuel.
The visits are possible through community sponsorships. There are 17 teachers on a waiting list for visits from the art studio.
