AKRON - Lloyd M. Weaver, 80, of Hickory Creek Healthcare, Rochester, and formerly of 4024 W. CR 1550N, Macy, died at 6 a.m. April 9, 2008, in Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.
He was born June 18, 1927, in White County, to David and Ethel Suitor Weaver. On Dec. 11, 1954, in Tracy, he married Glova M. Poisel, who survives.
He was a grain and dairy farmer in Miami and Fulton counties and a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Rochester, and a former member of the Farm Bureau and American Milk Producers Inc.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sharon (and spouse Kent) Mills, Denver; two sons, John Pope, Middlebury, and Larry (and spouse Brenda) Weaver, Yoder; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters: Bonnietta Carter, Monticello; Irene Lawson, Royal Center; Alberta (and spouse Leonard) Grable, Star City; and Leota Green, Bend, Ore.; and three brothers, David (and spouse Lois) Weaver, Idaville; Franklin (and spouse Nancy) Weaver, Royal Center; and Donald (and spouse Elsie) Weaver, Rochester. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Pastor James Wasmuth officiating. Burial will be in Athens Cemetery with military graveside rites by member of the Leroy Shelton American Legion Post 36 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1343, both in Rochester.
