Lloyd A. Skinner, 82, died at 9:10 p.m. April 25, 2010, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

He was born Sept. 2, 1927, in Delaware County, to William E. and Ethel E. Garrett Skinner. On Sept. 22, 1946, in Bourbon, he married Jean Montgomery, who died March 6, 2010.

He entered the U.S. Navy on June 22, 1945, serving during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific area. He was honorably discharged Aug. 4, 1946, as a motor machinist's Mate 3rd Class.

Living most of his life in Kosciusko County, he worked at Zimmer Inc. for 31 years, retiring in 1990 as supervisor.

Surviving are two sons, Patrick Allen (and spouse Laura) Skinner and Brent Alan (and spouse Melissa) Skinner, all of Warsaw; two daughters, Janet (and spouse Audie) Bean, Tippecanoe, and Catherine Huntley, Warsaw; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Perry Skinner, Ridgeville, and Sam Skinner, Albany; and a half sister, Marybelle Page, Hockessin, Del. He was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Skinner, and a half sister, Martha Toll.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Jeff Pfeifer of Warsaw Community Church. Burial will be in Etna Green Cemetery with graveside honors by members of Warsaw America Legion Post 49 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1126.

Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
