LKH Hosts Miraculous Medal Ceremony At Construction Site

Last month, a Miraculous Medal ceremony took place at Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital to inspire construction workers to finish the job safely. During the ceremony, which is a long standing tradition of the construction team, medals were placed in the first concrete poured at the project.
Miraculous Medal, also known as the medal of the Immaculate Conception, originated with Saint Catherine Laboure who led the circulation of the medal to millions and has been attributed to miracles such as restored health, special graces and dangers averted, according to a news release from Lutheran.
Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital broke ground on the $30 million expansion and renovation project earlier this year.
“We are very pleased with the progress of the project and we look forward to continuing our longstanding and deep commitment to this community.
“The miraculous medal ceremony has been passed down from generation to generation, for over 125 years, and is thus a very important part of what we do,” said Thomas Maloney, The Walsh Group. “We are very focused on the quality of the project and safety on the job site and this medal placement is an embodiment of that vision.”
