The prosecution continued its case this morning against a Columbia City man accused of shooting an employee of a Warsaw bar in June.

Billy Dean Little, 32, is on trial in Kosciusko Circuit Court on charges of aggravated battery and possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, both Class B felonies, and being a habitual offender.

Little is accused of shooting Bruce Allen Smith, 43, of North Webster, inside the former Good Times, a bar on South Buffalo Street. Smith followed Little and his brother, Robert J. Little of Columbia City, out of the establishment after the two and another man were refused service because of their apparent level of intoxication.

Billy Little allegedly fired the gun one time, leaving Smith with wounds to his chest and arm. He underwent emergency surgery at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, on the night of the incident. He has since recovered.

The trial is expected to conclude today.
