Plain Township firefighters responded to a chimney fire at the house of Nellie Heiman Sunday night along Old Ind. 15, north of Levi Lee Road.
Leesburg Fire Chief Mitch Rader said there was little damage. The paneling along the fireplace and some of the rafters in the home were damaged.
Rader did not have a damage estimate. Rader said that the fire had burnt out earlier in the afternoon and the bricks inside the chimney most likely cracked.
