BOURBON – The Bremen Lions dominated both sides of the ball Friday in a 42-6 win over the Triton Trojans. Bremen was on the scoreboard in just three plays and scored at will. Lions quarterback Brett Louderback and running back Grant Klockow took control of the game early and didn’t look back. Klockow had nine carries for 111 yards and one touchdown. Louderback only missed one pass in the first half and finished the game 5 of 6 for 129 yards two touchdowns. Triton coach Ron Brown said the Trojans tried controlling what they could and remain aggressive to avoid being driven off the line. “I know the score doesn’t reflect it, but from my perspective we got better in some areas tonight,” he said. “It’s going to show toward the end of the year.” The Lions started the second half just like they started the game, two big plays and a big run by Klockow for a touchdown. The Trojans’ defense couldn’t stop the Lions’ running game, as Bremen rushed for a total of 368 yards. Brown said the Lions scored because of their big wide receivers. He said his team “bid on too many fakes and they took advantage of that.” Brown said everything that has happened so far this season is what he and the rest of coaching staff expected. He said there are plenty of games left to win. “When you look at our record by the end of the year I think we will look like a decent team,” he said. Triton looks to bounce back next week against Culver Community, as the Trojans hit the road for two games. Triton managed just 107 yards of offense Friday, 60 through the air and 47 on the ground. Jeremy Jones led Triton’s running game with 17 carries for 37 yards. Jordan Anderson completed 3 of 5 passes for the Trojans for 24 yards with one touchdown and one interception. The touchdown pass was a 7-yard scoring strike to Mason Yeo early in the second quarter.
