Lions Clubs Gives Out DictionariesThe annual Dictionary Project is being completed by Lions Clubs throughout Kosciusko County.
This project furnishes every third-grade student in the 13 public schools of the county, as well as several of the private schools, a dictionary of their own. The books are ordered by the Atwood Lions Club and counted per the number needed and labels supplied. It also shows students which Lions Club is presenting them a dictionary.
The additional Lions Clubs in the county participating in the Dictionary Project are: Lake City Lions, Milford Lions, Pierceton and Syracuse.
These dictionaries are not only showing students the correct spelling and explanation of words, but it also provides the Constitution of the United States, the Declaration of Independence, and a biography of each president of the United States up to President Trump. Each state is described in square miles, when they became a state, the capital, population, motto and more; every country is described; each planet is talked about; the cloud formations are explained and one of the pages shows sign language and braille.
