PIERCETON – The Pierceton Lions Club will host its second annual “Souper Bowl” celebration April 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the community building. The public is welcome to attend and taste many varieties of homemade soups and vote for a favorite. Free-will donations will be accepted. From now until April 21, the Lions Club is also hosting its annual spring flower sale. Ask any Lions member for more information or call 574-594-2499. Pick-up days are May 7, 8, 9 and 10 at 530 S. First St., Pierceton. During April and May, the club’s community calendar will be for sale with listings of birthdays and anniversaries of family and friends, as well as local business ads and school schedules. The Lions Cookbook is also available for sale. It is a collection of time-honored recipes from members and friends. Again, call 574-594-2499 for more information. One hundred percent of all proceeds from Lions Club fundraisers are recycled back into the community.
