Lions Club members from throughout Kosciusko County distributed dictionaries and letters to third-grade students in all the public schools of the county.
Two additional private schools also received the dictionaries.
Approximately 1,644 elementary students in the county now received their own dictionary. This includes 1,036 third-graders, 297 fourth-graders and 291-fifth-graders.
This will be an ongoing project for students each year as they enter third grade.
Lions Clubs that have participated in this program previously were Milford, Lake City, Pierceton and Syracuse.
