BOURBON – Linda S. Eby, 68, of 10268 Parklane, Plymouth, died unexpectedly at 5:55 p.m. June 12, 2011, in Life Care Center, Rochester. She was born Nov. 18, 1942, in Plymouth, to Ralph and Cora Fern Kanarr Schaal. On Dec. 29, 1963, she married Jerry Eby, who survives. A resident of the Plymouth area most of her life, she was a homemaker and worked as a QMA at Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home, and as a custodian at Plymouth Truck Stop. She was a member of the Plymouth Wesleyan Church and a 1961 graduate of West High School. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1961-62. Also surviving are her children: Lisa (and spouse John) Eastes, Reelsville; Patrick (and spouse Ruth) Eby, Marion; Patricia (and spouse Ron) Voyles, Indianapolis; and William Eby (and spouse Judith de Jong); nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Phyllis (and spouse Dale) Reaker, Plymouth; and two brothers, Gale Schaal and Donald (and spouse Gertrude) Schaal, all of South Bend. She was preceded in death by a brother. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, Bourbon, with the Rev. Dr. Patrick Eby officiating.
