Linda K. Spooner, 54, of Charlestown, Ind., died at 2:30 a.m. Dec. 28, 2010, in her residence.

She was born Sept. 14, 1956, in Warsaw, to Ned and Marsha Kelsey Smith. On Oct. 14, 1986, in Louisville, Ky., she married Miles C. Spooner, who died Sept. 16, 2008.

She moved to Jeffersonville in 1981, then moved back to Warsaw in 2000. She worked for R.R. Donnelley and Son in the early 1980s and I.C.I. Ammunition Plant, Charlestown, for four years. She was also a school bus driver for Warsaw Community Schools and Greater Clark County Community Schools. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. She graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1974 and Ivy Tech in 2004. She was a loving mother and grandma.

Surviving are a daughter, Cortney Spooner, Warsaw; three sons, Corry Spooner, Gabe (and spouse Kendra) Tucker, Henryville, and Griffin (and spouse Alycia) Tucker, Warsaw; a sister, Kelly Smith, Fort Wayne; a brother, Hal Smith, Warsaw; and four grandchildren: Peyton, Dortha and Braden Tucker and Claire Kay Dove. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Father Phil DeVolder officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel.
