COLUMBIA CITY - Linda Ann Borders, 50, of Columbia City, passed away at 8 p.m. July 17, 2010, at Oasis of Hope Hospital, Mexico, after a long illness.

She was born April 5, 1960, in Columbia City, to Carl and Elaine Bechtold Sederlund. On Sept. 13, 1980, in Columbia City, she married James Borders, who survives.

A lifetime Columbia City resident, she graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1978, and earned an associate's degree in accounting from IPFW, Fort Wayne, in 1980. She was an accountant at Neff Engineering from 1981 to January 2009. She was a faithful and active member of Columbia City Church of God.

Also surviving are a daughter, Amanda Borders (and fiance Cody Jones), Columbia City; a son, Brandon Borders (and fiance Brenda Bair), Columbia City; his mother, Elaine Sederlund, Columbia City; two brothers, Alan (and spouse Luann) Sederlund, Fort Wayne, and Mark (and spouse April) Sederlund, New Salisbury; and her mother-in-law, Avanell Borders, Pierceton. Her father preceded her in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, officiated by Pastor Johnny McCallister of First Church of God. Burial will be in Nolt Cemetery, Columbia City.

Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
