BOURBON - Linda Ann Apple, 64, of 15837 Beech Road, Bourbon, passed away at 8:09 p.m. April 5, 2007, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.

She was born Sept. 19, 1942, in Warsaw, to Otis and Leona Cooper Thacker. On July 1, 1960, she married Michael "Hal" Apple, who died Jan. 17, 2006.

A resident of the Bourbon area most of her life, she was a a 1960 graduate of Bourbon High School. She was member of the Etna Green Church of Christ and the Bourbon American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, reading, Notre Dame sports and especially the sporting events of her grandchildren. She was employed at DePuy, Warsaw, in purchasing for trauma and extremities department.

Surviving are three children: Kandi Davis, and Mrs. John (Hedi) Music, both of Bourbon; and Monti (and wife Elizabeth) Apple, Akron; her mother-in-law Janice Thacker, Sebring, Fla.; and a brother, Richard Thacker Sr., Rochester. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Janice Thacker.

A celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Etna Green Church of Christ, 206 W. Broadway, Etna Green, with the Rev. Eugene Neyhart officiating. Burial will be in Summit Chapel Cemetery, Bourbon.

Calling is from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.
