Limitless Playground ribbon cutting

Posted

The Winona Lake Limitless Park Board had a ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday afternoon for the opening of Phase 2.1 of the Winona Lake Limitless Park.  The park was initially divided into phases, with Phase 1 being the K21 Splash Pad; and Phase 2, the limitless playground, was subdivided into phases. In fall 2015, the park took advantage of a grant through GameTime for a play structure, which was completed during a community build April 23. Pictured (L to R) participating in the ribbon-cutting ceremony are, front row: Jennifer Vandeburg, North Central Community liaison, Office of Community & Rural Affairs; Denny Daniels, Winona Lake Redevelopment Commission; Holly Hummitch, Winona Lake Parks director; Jill Schroeder, Winona Lake Park Board member; Jerry Newton, Newton Excavating; Chad James, Park Board member; back row: Rob Parker, Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce president and CEO; John Elliott, Redevelopment Commission member; Denny Duncan, Winona Lake Town Council and Redevelopment Commission member; Rick Swaim, Winona Lake Town Council member; and Craig Allebach, Winona Lake Town Coordinator.
