Limbaugh's GOP

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:

I see the House Minority Whip Eric Cantor spoke against Rimbowl on the Hitler/Obama analogies. Really? What's the point? Fush has been doing this for about a year now. They allowed the Flush, Glenn, Bill, Sean and Sara's of the world to do their heavy lifting of spreading, discord and division among the citizens of this country all year long.

When Reagan said, "Speak no evil about a republican," he in effect reduced the party's ownership to its current leadership.

Is it me or is Cantor the same guy that used to try and sell us x-ray glasses in mad magazine?

Cantor takes on Rush. "C'mon, you call this wimpy, hesitant, careful statement 'taking on'? It reminds me the time Pee-Wee Herman joined the biker gang."

Hey, Eric, a real rebuke should have been worded like this:

This cynical and casual use of such imagery does a great disservice to the memory of those who endured these atrocities as well as minimizes the sacrifices made by the men and women who fought to end this tyranny and to preserve freedom.

The use of these images to foster hatred against Americans who happen to possess a different political ideology is disrespectful to the families of those who endured WWII. This type of hyperbolic hate filled rhetoric does not further our party causes, embody our ideals, provide answers to our national problems nor do they build consensus which are all needed if we wish to continue to prosper as a great nation.

Moreover, this untoward behavior and rhetoric often spiral downward into a political movement that does not seek any answers to our societal ills but only to one which uses violence to oppress the weakest among us as well as any perceived enemies.

Now had he said that and then proclaimed that he would no longer participate in any rallies or support any Republicans or pundits who conjures up these holocaust images, then we could have respect for him ... until then he is just a another political hack and coward talking out of both sides of his face.

Of course, even this mild questioning of the bloated leader will result in Cantor enjoying the taste of Limbaugh's boot polish soon enough.

Don't be fooled by this guy. He probably cleared this with Rush in advance to give the false impression that he has a pair. Weak. Ineffectual. Much too little much too late.

Cantor's timing is suspicious. Maybe it's their attempt to shut the barn door after the animals have stormed out.

How long before Mr. Canter apologizes to Limbaugh and grovels for forgiveness?

Further proof that evolution is possible even among Maher's lizard people.

It was stupid when the Democrats did it and it's stupid now. Time to move on.

Once again the Republicans prove: Rush Limbaugh is the leader of the Republican Party.

If our Republican leaders fixes your PB&J, you better check to make sure the brown stuff is peanut butter.
