Lily Mae Hurd, 82, Grace Village Nursing Home, Winona Lake, passed away March 10, 2014, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born Jan. 11, 1932, in Bonanza, Ky., to Henry and Rushie Robinson Yates. On Oct. 6, 1947, in North Manchester, she married Johnie Hurd, who died Aug. 7, 2008. She worked as a jogger for R.R. Donnelley for 10 years. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Surviving are a son, Dannie (and spouse Amy) Hurd, Warsaw; two daughters, Regina (and spouse Don) Ervin, Warsaw, and Wanda Hurd, Rochester; a sister, Hazel McFarren, Angola; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Homer Yates, and two sisters, Hester Abbott and Ruby Yates.
