ELKHART – Lillian Walters, 101, of Stratford Commons, Elkhart, died Oct. 10, 2011, in Englewood, Fla.
She was born June 12, 1910, in Mishawaka, to Chester Wells and Esty Long. She married Donald F. Snyder and then John A. Walters, both who died.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Alpha Dora Class at the church, YWCA member, and graduated from Nappanee High School in 1928.
Surviving are a daughter, Donna (and spouse Ray) Copsey, Elkhart; two sons, Phillip (and spouse Nancy) Snyder, Englewood, Fla., and John (and spouse Carol) Snyder, Veedersburg; a brother, Willis Herrick, Kendallville; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Wells.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Waterman Westbrook Clouse Funeral Home, Elkhart, with Pastor Don Reed officiating. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee.
