MISHAWAKA – Lillian M. Baranowski, 95, passed away Oct. 13, 2015, at St. Paul’s, South Bend.
She was born Oct. 12, 1920, in South Bend, to Casimir and Constance Przybylski Rapalski. On Aug. 23, 1947, she married Joseph Baranowski, who passed away July 8, 1965.
She worked for School City of Mishawaka for 20 years in the cafeteria. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka; Rosary Society, Harvest House and the Hospital Auxiliary.
Surviving are her sons: James (and spouse Gloria) Baranowski, Berlin, Conn.; Thomas (and spouse Anita) Baranowski, Colorado Springs, Co.; Joseph Baranowski, Winona Lake; John (and spouse Margaret) Baranowski, Carmel; five grandchildren: Thomas, Tina, Meredith, Grace and Amy Baranowski. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Adam, Joseph, Al and Chester Rapalski; and a sister, Ann Filipek.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Monsignor Bruce Piechocki officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka.
